Michelle started her working life in Scone NSW, working in the thoroughbred studs doing foal watch to yearling prep. She completed a Cert III and Diploma in Horse Industry Management.
In 2010, Michelle moved to the Manning Valley and started vet nursing part time as well as working as a full time childcare teacher.
In 2012, Michelle started to work full time as a vet nurse and completed her Cert IV in Vet Nursing. It was then that Michelle found a love for animal dentistry and thus went on to complete a Diploma in Veterinary Dental Nursing in 2013 under the supervision of dental specialist vet, David Clarke.
Michelle was awarded Vet Nurse of the year with the Master Breeders Association in 2013. Being a staffordshire bull terrier breeder for 20 years, it was just an honour to be nominated, let alone to win it.
In 2018, Michelle became the first vet nurse to be accepted into the continuing education course of Behavioural Medicine at Sydney University.
Michelle currently works as a full time vet nurse at Port Vets and also has a beautiful team of showing and obedience dogs that compete on weekends up and down the coast. She also runs a puppy pre-school and trains older and more difficult dogs in her spare time.
In addition to taking her dogs to shows and obedience trials, Michelle also enjoys taking her horses to show jumping days.
